Sometimes, it is important to thing outside the box, get out of our comfort zone and all these clichés that give us some incentive to think ahead of us, or just to think. Today is one of those days.
This week, I will not share a painting with you, I will share a video. It is not mine and I have nothing to do with the making of it. It was posted on FaceBook by Matt Menezes, a former student of mine who is putting his legs where his heart is. You should follow him in The North from the Saddle.
I recommend you to listen to the following young man, Jason Silva, when he gave a talk in Australia for the conference on Dangerous Ideas. His passion is contagious, his optimism inspiring. I do believe that the Arts and Sciences have a life together. Listen to him:
Parfois il faut sortir des sentiers battus et se lancer dans des endroits bien différents afin de trouver la force et la motivation de penser par delà nos habitudes.
Cette semaine, j'ai choisi de ne pas montrer une peinture. Je veux partager cette vidéo avec vous. Elle n'est pas mienne et je n'ai rien à voir dans sa création, mais je pense que nous devons tous ouvrir un oeil dans cette direction. Un ancien étudiant (Matt Menezes, qui vit ce qu'il prêche dans The North from the Saddle) l'a postée sur FaceBook.
Je sais que c'est en anglais et beaucoup de vous auront du mal à comprendre. Essayez d'en trouver la version en français si possible. Ce jeune homme, Jason Silva, est contagieux par sa passion et son optimisme. Il a présenté ce topo en Australie en Mai dernier lors d'une conférence au titre intrigant: De Dangereuses Idées.
