Under the Sea

Série: Les Poissons

You can tell it is still summer and it is hot down here. My brain is melting. I am not sure if the culprit is age or heat. In any case my painting is definitely affected my the temperature and humidity increase. The sad part is that the forecast is not showing signs for something different. The good part is that I am going to be on the road for most of late summer so we should see my art taking a turn (or not).

This little fish (12"x12") painted on wood with some collage is part of a bigger series called Under the Sea. I love the bright colors and direct stare that are inviting you to follow him/her in the coolness of the ocean depths.

C'est toujours l'été ici et ça se voit. Il fait bien chaud. J'ai la cervelle qui fond comme glace au soleil. La chaleur ou même l'âge peut en être la cause mais ce qui est sûr c'est que la température ambiante et l'humidité affecte ma peinture. La mauvaise nouvelle c'est que la météo ne prévoit aucune différence pour les semaines qui viennent. La bonne nouvelle c'est que je serai par monts et par vaux pour la fin de l'été et espère ainsi voir ma peinture prendre un nouveau virage (ou pas).

Ce petit poisson (20cm sur 20cm) est peint sur bois. Il fait partie d'une série titrée Sous l'Océan. J'adore ses couleurs vives et son oeil franc qui nous invite à le suivre dans la fraîcheur des profondeurs de la mer.
