Survival
My husband feels a particular bond with gorillas and elephants. Last Christmas, he adopted a baby elephant in my name. To thank him for his compassion and generosity, I painted this one to honor his friendship toward these peaceful pachyderms. It is mixed media on wood.
Since there are not many elephants in the Florida woods, I don't know much what else to do to help them apart from not buying ivory and sending money to people who do save them from us. If you are curious, check this organisation here. The Daphné Sheldrick fund is dedicated to protect the elephants in their natural habitat.
Mon époux a une amitié particulière envers les gorilles et les éléphants. Comme cadeau de Noël, il a adopté un jeune éléphant orphelin en mon nom. Pour le remercier de sa compassion et sa générosité, j'ai peint ce pachyderme en pleine foulée. Plusieurs médium peints sur du bois.
Comme il n'y a guère d'éléphants dans les forêts de Floride, je ne sais que faire pour aider leur survie sinon éviter d'acheter de l'ivoire et donner à des oeuvres caritatives qui sont sur place et peuvent aider à leur survie. C'est ce que je fais avec cette organisation qui est dédiée à protéger les éléphants en leur milieu naturel. L'organisation de Miss Daphné Sheldrick tente de sauver autant d'éléphants que possible.
